QUESTION: What major pitfalls have you had to look out for during your spiritual journey?

ILLUSTRATION: The Pot Belly Stove
The pot belly stove is old and ugly, but it is a vessel that puts out a good aroma and good food.
We are Christ's vessels and we should put out a good aroma and good fruit; but God gets the glory.

Pitfalls are:
* unsuspected difficulty or danger
* booby-traps
* set-ups
* downfalls
* traps that are designed for animals or man

In order to avoid pitfalls, we must operate in the fruit of the spirit:
Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness,  and
Temperance; according to Galatians 5:22-23.

When you operate in the fruit of the spirit, this gives you the motivation
that will keep you going and the discipline to keep you growing.

Points to help AVOID pitfalls:

Point #1-  Ask yourself daily:
        Lord what can I learn today?

Point #2- Tell yourself:
       I am " Called To Joy" and not frustration, doubt or unbelief.

Point 3-  Learn it and return it:
      Learn the word of God, and ask yourself; " Who will I impact with the
knowledge I have retained?"

Conclusion: The way you respond to pitfalls will determine how people will remember you,  so now is the time for other people to touch "our" garment, because we have the spirit of God on the inside of us!
